The 2021 charging station photo competition (June–July 2021)

We started Power Trip because we wanted to make EVs even easier for the new people joining our community. If you’re like us, you’ve taken a few photos of your EV charging up in some stunning locations around NZ, but they’re now just kinda sitting on your phone, not doing much.

So, we’re running a photo competition to put these images to work, to give new EV owners an extra helping hand when they are finding charging stations in New Zealand using NZ’s EV apps and services.

We have partnered with ChargeNet and ElectricAir to offer over $550 value in prizes for photos uploaded to the Power Trip app between 11

When you upload a photo to a charging station on the Power Trip app, your photo is automatically added to that charging station and can be viewed by anyone with the app. It is also tagged with your username.

When we say NZ’s EV apps and services, we mean all of them, not just Power Trip. Any photos you upload to the Power Trip app will be shared using a

. This means anyone can use them so long as they give attribution to your Power Trip username, and make them freely available for others to use as well.

2021 (the last day of July 2021). You can continue to upload photos to the Power Trip app, under the same Creative Commons license at any time after the competition has finished. Please make sure that the photos you’ve uploaded are of the charging station you’re adding them to. If we’re missing a charging station, you can use the app to add it to the map and then add your photo to is and we’ll figure out what to do from there.

1) Photos may only be submitted via the PowerTrip App

2) Photos must include the Charging Station at that location in the frame in order to be eligible

3) Photos can be taken at any time however to enter this competition will need to be uploaded between 00:00 11

4) Photos need to be original and unpublished work by the uploader (who should hold any copyright ownership at the time)

5) Respective Category winners will be decided by ChargeNet, Electric Air and special guests selected by PowerTrip and our affiliates

6) Winning images will be notified by direct contact from Power Trip and may be featured on our social media channels, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

10) Any information you submit as part of the competition may be used for promotional purposes without further payment or consideration.
